The Shift Towards Opacity and Personal Security

Why I’m Locking Down: A Necessary Evolution in OpSec

It’s been a while since my last update in 2023. A lot has changed since then, both in the tech landscape and in my personal life. Today, I want to address why many of my previously public resources specifically my deep dives into vulnerabilities, encryption methodologies, and my custom Gentoo hardening guides are moving behind encrypted, private layers.

From Open to Hardened

For years, my philosophy was rooted in radical transparency. However, due to personal experiences and the evolving nature of digital surveillance, I have made the strategic decision to prioritize my own security.

The reality is that detailed documentation of advanced encryption and system architecture can be a double edged sword. While it helps the community, it also provides a roadmap for state authorities and corporate entities. Given past events where my hardware was compromised (2023), I can no longer justify leaving my personal blueprints exposed. My encryption methods are now strictly confidential to ensure that if my hardware is ever lost or seized again, the data remains a black box.

What This Means for You

As of today, March 14, 2026, several key resources including my specialized Gentoo EFI Handbook have been set to private. This isn't a move against the community; it is a move for self preservation.

However, I am not disappearing. I still maintain a vast library of open source resources, one liners, and Linux guides that remain free and public. Every command on those pages has been tested by me personally, and I encourage you to use them to strengthen your own setups.

Final Thoughts

Security is not a static state; it’s a constant adjustment to the threats we face. By closing certain doors, I am ensuring that I can continue to work and contribute without compromising my own legal or digital safety.

Thank you for the years of support and for understanding this necessary shift in my operational security.
